Deployed Falcon

January 10, 2009 - At the end of this month, a couple of pilots will move to Beauvechain Air Base (EBBE) for one week. Participating in "Deployed Falcon" they are preparing for the NATO Operational Evaluation (OPEVAL). This is an evaluation taking place about once every 3 years to check weather the F-16 squadrons still meet NATO's high end criteria. 
 

Operation Guardian Falcon

thumb_news-001December 20, 2008 - Since the end of this month, 349 sqn participates at ISAF operations in Afghanistan. Stationed at Kandahar airfield, we operate with 4 Belgian vipers covering the entire region. This operation runs through 2009 with different squadrons rotating in and out of theatre over that period.
 

JHMCS training

349 Racing Team

thumb_news-004November 6, 2008 - Since earlier this year, 349 is not only flying fast but also racing fast. At Zolder racing circuit, 349 colors are proudly defended by a fireman of Kleine Brogel Air Base. A pocket bike with the same color scheme is displayed in the squadron bar.
